Clearfield, PA – District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. reported a generous donation was made by CBT Bank to the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County (CAC-CC).

Shaw explained that CBT Bank recently donated $1000 to the CAC-CC. Shaw thanked CBT Bank for their support of the CAC-CC and noted that these funds will help provide vital services to children who have been victimized by child abuse.

The CAC-CC is a safe child friendly center that children visit to receive a forensic interview and referrals for programs to help them heal. The center brings together a Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) of specially trained professionals throughout Clearfield County who evaluate and investigate cases of child abuse and help children and their families, Shaw explained.

The CAC-CC is designed to be child-focused and reduce the stress experienced by child survivors of abuse and their non-offending family members throughout the investigation and intervention process. By focusing first on the needs of children and their families, the CAC-CC ensures that many vital services are provided while improving the quality of investigations throughout Clearfield County.
