Pennsylvania – Today is the last day to file your taxes! If you waited until the last minute to file and now you’re realizing that there’s no way you’ll be done in time, ABC’s chief business and economics correspondent Rebecca Jarvis gives some tips.

“On April 15, you can file for an extension. It’ll give you six months, until Oct. 15, to put all of that information together and put a proper tax form together.”

But remember, you still owe what you expect is your tax liability on April 15. If you expect to pay the IRS instead of getting a return, you’ll have to make sure that tax burden is paid by midnight tonight.

About a third of Americans have waited until the final week to file their taxes.

If you file late, you could be charged a late-filing penalty and interest.
