Brockway, PA – Two new educators will join the Brockway Area School District after being approved during Tuesday’s school board meeting.

April Weaver and Jessi Zameroski were approved by a unanimous vote. Weaver will be the new Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at the junior-senior high school, replacing Patty Sedlock.  Sedlock will retire at the end of the current school year.

Zameroski will work alongside outgoing school psychologist Yvonne Ransbottom during the next year in anticipation of Ransbottom’s retirement after the 2019-2020 school year.

Superintendent Jeff Vizza expressed his excitement over the new hires.

The district also approved the Vermont Ski Trip for February 26-29, 2020.  The ski club takes 25 members to the Okemo Ski Resort and the club pays for all expenses except for the cost of substitutes.

The school board will meet again May 14 at 7 p.m.
