DuBois, PA – If you live within the City of DuBois, expect to see an increase on your water bill.
Residential customers will be paying an extra $1 per 1,000 gallons of water, and their meter surcharge fee will go up to $10 from its current $8 fee.
If your household uses up to 100,000 gallons, you’ll now pay $7 per 1,00 gallons of water. Customers who use more than 100,000 will pay $4 per 1,000 gallons.
The new DuBois water bills will also include a surcharge of anywhere from $10 to $375, depending how large your building’s meter is.
The new rates will cover, not just the cost of providing clean water, but to also cover the costs of water-related construction projects that keep the treatment facility in working order.
Only customers in the City of DuBois will be affected. Residents in the municipalities, like Sandy Township and Falls Creek, will pay the same rates as before.
