Sandy Township, PA – Police officers in Sandy Township have been busy over the weekend, investigating some minor crashes, reports of suspicious people, theft, the potential theft or misplacement of a vehicle, and harassment.


March 15, 2019

A man reported his vehicle was hit by someone while it was parked in the Walmart parking lot.

A 60-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported that someone broke into her garage earlier in the week and took several items out of her garage.  Investigation continues.

March 16, 2019

A Bee Line Highway reported someone drove up her private driveway and appeared to get spooked and backed back down when they saw lights come on and the woman let her dog out.  Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.

A 76-year-old Salada Road woman reported that her vehicle was taken from the Aldi’s parking lot.  Investigation continues.

A 37-year-old Curwensville man and 18-year-old Clearfield man were in a minor accident at the DuBois Mall.  No injuries reported.


March 17, 2019

Officers received a report of a 911 hang up call from a Don Street residence.  Upon arrival officers discovered a 28-year-old woman and her 30-year-old boyfriend had been out for the evening and when they came home got into an argument.  Officers verified all parties were OK and handled the situation without incident.

A vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Ohio man was broke down on the I-80 off ramp at exit 97, and a tractor trailer driven by a 30-year-old Texas man was unable to avoid hitting the vehicle, causing moderate damage.  No injuries reported.

A Pittsburgh man reported while he was in the McDonalds drive thru he was rear ended by another vehicle.  The two exchanged information, but when he got home he thought he should report it.

A 45-year-old Judge Road man reported being harassed by his landlord, who was also his roommate’s mother.  Officers handled the situation without incident.
