Knox, PA – A Knox man was the reason why police got into a standoff in Clarion County on Wednesday and shut down a roadway for several hours.
20-year-old Kenneth Hannold is facing charges for terroristic threats and harassment.
Police were called out to a home at the intersection of Route 208 and Shettler Road in Knox after a woman called in to report that Hannold was threatening to shoot everyone in the house.
The family told police that Hannold had gotten into an argument, damaged things in the house, threatened them not to call the police, then locked himself in the basement where multiple guns were kept.
The four other adults and a baby were able to get out of the house.
Police blocked off Route 208 for nearly seven hours on Wednesday while they talked with Hannold. Neighbors were told to stay inside of their houses.
He was eventually arrested and, unable to post $25,000 bail, was lodged in the Clarion County Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 12.
