
Punxsutawney, PA – Someone stole a Punxsutawney man’s identity, opened a credit card in his name, then used it to buy more than $8,000 worth of professional DJ equipment and other electronics.
The 75-year-old man’s information was used to buy the items on Jan. 5 and 6.
The thief bought two types of professional DJ controllers, two sets of DJ headphones, a digital music mixer, and a microphone.

- Pioneer DDJ-1000 professional DJ controller – $1,384.98
- Pioneer HDJ-X7 Pro DJ headphones – $243.98
- Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 profession 4-channel digital DJ mixer with USB – $2,549.98
- Pioneer DDJ-SB3 Serato DJ controller – $317.34
- U87 AI Shockmount Neumann Set Z microphone – $3,599.95
- ATH-M50X Pro Audio-Technica professional headphone set – $169.00
In total, the suspect made $8,265.17 worth of purchases.
It’s unclear at this point if the victim will be able to recover all of that money.
The case remains under active investigation.
