Indiana County, PA – Two people were killed in separate fatal crashes in Indiana County over the weekend, just hours of each other.
In the first crash around 10:30 Saturday morning, a 55-year-old Indiana man had been driving along Route 286 near Indiana when he crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.
The still unnamed 55-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the other vehicle had minor injuries. No one in either car had been wearing a seat belt.
The next fatal crash had around 6 p.m. Saturday night on Grange Hall Road in East Wheatfield Township. Police are not identifying the driver, but they say his Hyundai Elantra went off of the road and struck a tree. He was thrown through the driver’s side door and suffered fatal injuries.
