Brockway, PA – Police are still investigating who set a fire at Highland View Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Brockway.

Fire crews were called out to the nursing home on Main Street around 3:30 early Friday morning. The flames caused about $5,000 worth of damage and were quickly extinguished.

Brockway Volunteer Hose Company says, thankfully, the sprinkler system had held the fire in check before crews arrived, reinforcing the fact that a good sprinkler system can help save lives and property.

Residents had to be moved to the west wing of the building, but there were no injuries. Investigators say the fire was incendiary in nature, meaning someone had intentionally set it.

If you know any other details about who was involved in the arson, please call the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal, the Brockway Police Department, or the Brockway Fire Department.
