Coalport, PA – A Clearfield County family is left homeless and without their beloved pets after a fire yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews were called out around 1 p.m. to a home along Main Street in Coalport. The owners, Harold and Mildred Gustafson, were not home at the time.
No humans were injured, but the family’s four pets died in the fire.
Investigators say it was accidental in nature.
The Gustafson family did not have insurance.
Damage is estimated at $100,000.
The American Red Cross and the Salvation Army are providing the family with some assistance in the aftermath.
