Union Township, PA – A group of people from Philipsburg escaped injury earlier this week when they rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Rockton Mountain Highway.

Police say 21-year-old Rodney Dixon had been driving too fast for conditions on Route 322 just after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

He lost control and struck the back of a freightliner driven by 29-year-old Jacob Miller from Wichita, Kansas.

Dixon and Miller were both uninjured.

35-year-old Stephen Smolko and 33-year-old Haley Smolko, who were riding in the car with Dixon, were also not injured.
