Reynoldsville, PA – Two upcoming seminars will help organizations prepare for the possibility of violence.

Next Monday, Jan. 14, all businesses and organizations are invited to learn from the Active Shoot Program at Jeff Tech in Reynoldsville.

You can join them on Monday for an in-depth look at an active shooter situation and what steps you can take to help protect people. It starts at 8:30 on Jan. 14 at Jeff Tech and will last until noon. This event is free to anyone who wants to attend. Lunch will be provided.

This event is open to everyone and we are urging those with businesses, schools, churches, Emergency Services organization, hospitals, event planners for festivals and fairs, open air venue businesses to attend. Everyone is welcome!

Then on Thursday, Jan. 17, it’s another chance to learn about other types of violence in the workplace. Would you know what to do if one of your employees threatened or hurt someone? The Human Resource Management Association will have a workshop on Jan. 17 from 7:30 until 10 a.m. at the DuBois Diner.

The cost is $10 for HRMA basic members and $20 for non-members. The Elk County Sheriff’s Office will present some valuable information for you in the event of violence in the workplace.
