DuBois, PA – Feet and hearts were warmed over the holidays thanks to the many people who donated to our Socks for Seniors program with Christ the King Manor.

Together, we donated 102 pairs of cozy new socks to residents at the nursing home!

We know that a pair of socks is a small, simple gift… but it’s a way of showing older people that somebody is thinking about them and sending them some love.

Kim McMonagle organizes the activities at Christ the King and says that these small gestures really do make a difference, and you can volunteer there any time.

You can volunteer as little or as often as you’d like. Some people make it a goal to come in to volunteer for one hour once a week or once a month. You could volunteer doing things like singing, reading aloud, running a bingo game, making a craft, or even just chatting with some of the residents.

If you’d like to volunteer, reach out to the people at Christ the King Manor by calling 814-371-3180.
