Punxsutawney, PA – The Punxsutawney man who was arrested in an online child predator sting recently has been identified.

34-year-old James Petrick is facing felony charges for unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor, among other offenses.

Petrick allegedly sent repeated messages to an underage social media profile that police had set up.

When they replied saying that the girl in the profile was only 15 years old, Petrick still continued to send the girl explicit photos and asked her for photos back.

He was arrested on Dec. 15 as he was on the way to meet up with what he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

Unable to post $50,000 bail, Petrick remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 8.
