DuBois, PA – Just by donating a hat or some gloves, you could spread holiday cheer to some DuBois residents! H&R Block in DuBois is collecting warm winter accessories for the residents at St. Michael Terrace.

The apartment complex in DuBois is home to about 110 people, most of whom are elderly, low-income, or have some kind of disability.

H&R Block franchise owner Tina Sabados says it’s their way of giving back to and supporting our community, while keeping people warm.

Then on Dec. 21, in addition to giving all of the donated winter items, H&R Block employees will be throwing a party for the residents to bring some extra holiday cheer.

You can drop off hats and gloves until this Monday at H&R Block on East DuBois Avenue. They’re open today (Friday) from 10 until 6, Saturday from 9 until 1, and Monday again from 10 until 6.

They’re hoping to get enough hats and gloves for all of the residents. Although more women than men live at St. Michael Terrace, they’re having a more difficult time getting enough men’s winter gear in plain patterns and colors.
