DuBois, PA – Starting tonight, it’s a Christmas classic like you’ve never seen it before! Tonight’s the opening night for the 1939 radio version of A Christmas Carol at the Reitz Theater in DuBois.
You’ll see the Christmas Carol story performed on stage as if it were on the radio, complete with old-time sound effects and 1940s costumes. Interspersed between the radio acts, there are also short kids performances and songs from local choirs.
Shows continue tonight, tomorrow, and Dec. 13-15 at 7:30, plus a matinee this Sunday at 2.
For tonight only, you can come early to sample foods from Charlies before the show.
Then Saturday, there’s a special sign language interpretation alongside the show.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 students/seniors.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, beforehand at the box office, at ACE Fix-It Hardware in DuBois, or online.
