DuBois, PA – You’ve heard the bells ringing at local stores, but the Salvation Army of DuBois still needs your help!
Donations to the Red Kettle Campaign are still behind where they were last year, likely because of the weather.
Lt. Michelle Miller from the Salvation Army says all of that spare change adds up… so please donate each time that you see them standing at local stores.
They’re down by about $5,000 in comparison to where they were last year. The kettle goal this year is $48,000, which is built into the Salvation Army’s budget.
If they don’t make this goal, they’ll have to find some other way to raise the money or they won’t be able to provide as much help to local needy families.
Please find some extra dollars to donate. And as increasingly fewer people are carrying cash with them, we ask that you remind yourself to carry some cash in your pockets for to give whenever you hear those bells.
