Clearfield, PA – A small gift could mean the world to an older person living in Clearfield County this holiday season! Here’s how you can donate.

The Giving Trees are still set up in Clearfield, filled with tags that show the Christmas wishes of senior citizens, many of whom are living alone with no close family members.

Terry Khoury from the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging says most of these things that they’re asking for are just everyday items… socks, slippers, food items, or even a little assistance paying their heating bills.

The Agency on Aging and the Clearfield Borough Police have teamed up for the past four years to collect and deliver the gifts.

Trees with tags are set up in the Clearfield Pharmacy and the Clearfield CVS.

The Giving Trees will stay up until Dec. 7.

Especially during this cold winter, many seniors have also asked for some help with heating and utility expenses. You can make a donation of any size towards the utility fund for seniors at any CBT Bank branch.

If you can’t make it to Clearfield but would still like to donate a gift, call the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging at 814-765-2696 to see what they still need and to set up a donation time.
