Woodland, PA – A home was destroyed by fire in Clearfield County while the family was away at the hospital with their child.

The fire took place at a mobile home along B.L. Lane near Woodland, but police don’t know what day it happened because it wasn’t reported to 911 until a hunter discovered the burnt home on Saturday.

The owners, 30-year-old Michael Luzier and 30-year-old Julie Peters, had been away from the home for an extended time because they were with their newborn baby boy at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for an ongoing medical emergency.

If you know what started the fire, please call the fire marshal at the State Police Barracks in Ridgway.

If you’d like to donate to the family, please reach out to Kelli Peters or Taylor Luzier on Facebook. You can also drop off donations at Old Town Road Dairy in Clearfield (1217 S 2nd St, Clearfield, PA 16830) or call 814-765-4014.

Although any donations help, the family is especially in need of items for a newborn baby boy. He doesn’t have any diapers, wipes, blankets, a crib, swing, or toys. Monetary donations or gift cards would be especially useful.
