Union Township, PA – A 22-year-old woman suffered fatal injuries after a crash Saturday afternoon in Union Township.

22-year-old Breanna Royer of Curwensville had been driving her Chevrolet Cobalt along the Chestnut Grove Highway portion of Route 219 around 4:34 p.m.

Royer crossed over the center line for unknown reasons, striking a Chevrolet Cruze driven by another 22-year-old woman, Mariah Good of Punxsutawney.

Royer was unresponsive whenever rescue crews arrived.

A helicopter was initially called in, but due to the extent of her injuries Royer was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois until she became stable enough to be transported to UMPC Presbyterian.

She was taken to the hospital in Pittsburgh but died of her injuries later that night.

Good suffered moderate injuries, including a broken arm. She was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois.

There are no details yet on when a memorial or funeral service will be held for Breanna Royer.
