Burnside Township, PA – A woman was killed when she crashed into a house early Sunday morning along Route 219 in Clearfield County.

57-year-old Penny Johnston of Fairmount City had been driving through Burnside Township around 1:43 a.m. Sunday when she ran off of the road, over an embankment, and into a house.

It’s unclear what made Johnston lose control of her Kia Sorento.

Johnston was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was the only one in the car and had been wearing her seat belt.

No one was inside of the home that she crashed into at that time.

There’s no word yet on when funeral services will be held for Penny Johnston.
