Clearfield County, PA – The first ever Veritas Film Festival starts today in Clearfield County and continues for the next week.

Filmmakers from all around the globe will be at the Rowland Theatre in Philipsburg and the Ritz Theater in Clearfield, starting at 9 each morning and finishing at around 5 each afternoon at both locations. An award ceremony will also be held each night in Philipsburg.

Each night has a different theme.

  • Friday, Nov. 9 – feature length films
  • Saturday, Nov. 10 – student films
  • Sunday, Nov. 11 – Hard Faith films
  • Monday, Nov. 12 – films that are all made in Pennsylvania
  • Tuesday, Nov. 13 – documentaries
  • Wednesday, Nov. 14 – screenplays read live at the theaters by actors
  • Thursday, Nov. 15 – short films

Spencer Folmar is the artistic director of the festival and owner and producer of Hard Faith films, which include Generational Sins and the upcoming film Shooting Heroin.

Tickets are $10 for a day pass or $35 to see films throughout the entire week.
