DuBois, PA – The DuBois Area United Way still needs your help reaching their $420,000 goal for 2019. Learn where some of those donations go… including our DuBois Honor Guard!

Whenever you make a donation to our United Way, it goes to support more than a dozen organizations and charities in our area.

One of the organizations that couldn’t exist without your donation is the DuBois Honor Guard, which provides military honors at funerals and memorial services of deceased veterans.

Any veteran who has retired from the military or has been honorably discharged can receive the honors at their funeral, regardless if they served in a war or not. The Honor Guard is also looking for more volunteers.

The Honor Guard currently gets about 24 percent of its budget from the DuBois United Way and could not exist without its help.

Uniforms can cost up to $800 each for summer and winter uniforms, with the additional cost of cleaning. This is just part of what the money is used for during the year.

Again, you can help support this worthy cause and many more by donating to the DuBois Area United Way campaign. All the money stays in our communities.
