Butler County, PA – Two Clarion County men were killed in a crash on Route 68 in Butler County on Thursday.

19-year-old Jacob Bowser of East Brady and 50-year-old James Hipple of Sligo were driving in opposite directions on Route 68 in Summit Township around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Bowser veered into the other lane and collided with the other vehicle head-on.

Both men were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

It’s still unknown why Bowser veered into oncoming traffic.

The crash remains under investigation, and there are no details yet on when either man’s funeral service will be.
