Wilcox, PA – A home in Elk County was broken into recently, and the thief stole or damaged thousands of dollars’ worth of property.

Sometime between Sept. 16 and 22, the still unknown burglar smashed the front window of a home along Burning Well Road in Wilcox.

They went inside and stole a few sets of chains, a generator, a set of wrenches, a rear axle off of a vehicle, about $30 in change, an interstate battery, and a 5000 watt inverter.

They also smashed a window of a detached garage as well as a window on a camper behind the home.

In addition to taking valuable items, the thief also left broken items of their own in the home’s yard, including a black freezer, five tires, a cart dolly, and an Element television.

The victim is listed as a 34-year-old man from Weedville.
