DuBois, PA – DuBois is celebrating the kind of people who make the world a better place. Manda Shaw is being honored today with the Silver Ribbon Award, which is given each year to a professional who serves their community.

Manda Shaw works at Paris Companies in DuBois, but she also spends much of her time outside of work serving on several non-profit boards and volunteering with a variety of groups, including pastoral work at the hospital, benevolence work, and with the youth group at her church.

Requirements for recipients of the Silver Ribbon Award:

  • Actively and generously mentor others in attainment of their professional excellence and leadership skills;
  • Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in his/her own life, business, or profession;
  • Provide valuable community service by volunteering time and energy to improving the quality of life for others.

Previous recipients of the Silver Ribbon were Carol Foltz in 2017, Craig Ball in 2016, and JoAnn Zartman in 2015.
