Clearfield, PA – Most areas are still cleaning up from the massive amount of rain we saw earlier this week.
With Hurricane Florence set to hit the East Coast on late Friday and Saturday, expect to see more storms moving into our area next week, with some scattered rain still lingering off-and-on for this week as well.
Flooding was most severe in the areas around Mahaffey, Coalport, Philipsburg, Osceola, and Chester Hill in Clearfield County. In Jefferson County, the worst flooding was at Mahoning Creek, near Punxsutawney and Big Run, and at Redbank Creek in Summerville.
With the possibility of more storms in the next several days, take this opportunity to get supplies and take steps to prevent flooding in your basement, especially if you live in a flood zone.
