Punxsutawney, PA – Visit Punxsutawney to honor the Native American origins of Groundhog Day and celebrate Phil Phest on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 until 4!

Beginning at 10 a.m. throughout the town, enjoy activities, performances, vendors, walking tours and Punxsutawney Phil’s Elixir of Life Ceremony.

Get full details at the Weather Discovery Center and make a Native American rattle free with admission ($6 per person) from 10 until 3.

The $25 ticket for the 120th Annual Groundhog Picnic & Phil Phest includes live music, corn hole tournament, yard games, food, complimentary beverages, and snacks.

Lunch served from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Lunch Menu: hamburgers, hotdogs, kielbasa, pasta salad, baked beans, watermelon, and dessert

Dinner served from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Dinner Menu: steak, baked potato, vegetarian option, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, dessert

Activities: The Annual Groundhog Picnic is a great piece of Groundhog Club and Punxsutawney history.

Phil’s Elixir of Life Ceremony will begin at 4 p.m.

Yard games will be set up if you wish to participate.

There will be big screen TV’s set up in the building to watch football games.

The Cornhole Tournament will begin at 1 p.m. and is free to enter.

After the Elixir Ceremony the finals for the tournament will begin!
