Frequently Asked Questions, with answers from Escape Rooms DuBois:

What is an Escape Room?
An escape is a team game ideally for 6-8 people. We lock your team in a room and the goal of the game is to escape within 60 minutes. This is achieved by completing a series of puzzles and clues which allow you to unlock the next one and eventually the you will solve the final clue which lets you out of the room.

Is there an age restriction?
While there is no restriction on age the puzzles may be too demanding and difficult for those under 14. Children under 16 must be accompanied by at least one adult per group.

I am claustrophobic, can I play?
Escape Rooms DuBois never truly “locks” the doors. Any of the doors that need to be opened to exit the facility are left unlocked and can be exited at any time.

What should we wear when playing?
No special attire is required. Just wear something that is comfortable and you’re able to move around in.

Are the puzzles physically challenging?
No. The puzzles do involve maneuvering physical objects, but nothing out of the ordinary for a regular day’s activity.

Is there a minimum or maximum team size?
2 is the minimum and 8 is the maximum, however we would recommend teams of 4-8 as these are the optimum numbers for the games and allow everyone to participate. Groups of less than 4 may be placed together. The best way to ensure you have the room to yourself is to book all 8 spots.

How much time will we need to play?
Expect to set aside an hour and a half.  Please show up 15 minutes before your scheduled time. This allows 15 minutes to brief you before you play, gives you an hour in the room, and 15 minutes to debrief with your group afterwards regarding your experience.

I would like to play with my colleagues as a team building exercise. Is it possible?
Yes, we love team building! The Escape Rooms team has a collective 20 years of facilitating team building games. We have trained facilitators on staff to help your organization grow.
