Lawrence Township, PA – A man led police on a 5-mile chase through the Clearfield area on Sunday.

Police attempted to pull over 28-year-old Jade Lines of Clearfield around 1:30 yesterday afternoon along River Road, but he didn’t stop.

After fleeing for about 5 miles in his vehicle, Lines got out and fled on foot. However, the vehicle wasn’t put into park, so it crashed into a nearby garage, causing significant damage.

Lines was caught shortly afterwards. He was suspected to have been driving under the influence, and methamphetamine was found in the vehicle.

Lines was taken to the Clearfield County Jail to await arraignment on charges of fleeing police, resisting arrest, hit and run, DUI, and possession of meth.
