DuBois, PA – Kids will be going to back to the DuBois Area School District in less than two weeks, and hundreds of them will be using a backpack that someone in our community donated!

The Stuff the Bus event at the DuBois Mall (brought to you by Gourmet Kitchen, Winery at Wilcox, Suanne’s Hair Care, and Sunny 106 and Connect FM) brought in 228 backpacks this year!

That’s 228 students in the DuBois Area School District who won’t have to worry about getting the school supplies that they need.

Each backpack was filled with school supplies, including notebooks, binders, paper, pencils, erasers, pens, and highlighters. Some supplies were also donated to the teachers, such as disinfectant wipes and tissues, which teachers generally will pay for out of their own pockets after the supplies from the school run out.

Thank you to everyone who donated or helped out with filling the bags!
