Sandy Township, PA – Sandy Township is still looking for a new police chief after the recent retirement of Chief Don Routch, but in the meanwhile, there’s no rush.

Sandy Township manager Dave Monella says residents are in good hands. The sergeant in charge for now is Sgt. Kris Kruzelak.

The Sandy Township supervisors and Monella will be interviewing interested applicants within the police department, as well as others who might apply.

Former chief Routch served the Sandy Township Police Department for 11 years. He had 40 years of law enforcement experience in Sandy Township, DuBois, and Brockway.
