Pennsylvania – The next time you take your child to get a check-up, don’t be surprised if the doctor asks about their online habits.

Along with other questions they might ask about mental health or learning problems, pediatricians are also being encouraged to get a sense for how their patients are using social media.

It shouldn’t just be a conversation with a doctor though. Parents should be aware of what sites and apps their kids are using and keep an eye out for any changes in their behavior.
