DuBois, PA – If your child still isn’t signed up for school in the DuBois Area School District, whether they’re going into kindergarten or just transferring into our elementary schools, tomorrow is the deadline for late registration.

Registration will take place on Wednesday at the DuBois Area Middle School. Staff will be there from 9 a.m. to noon and then 1 until 3 p.m. to help with the registration process.

You can get a pre-registration packet today at the school offices and district offices from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The pre-registration packet will help make the process quicker and easier.

Anyone registering will have to bring the student’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency (such as a deed, lease, current utility bill, current credit card bill, property tax bill, vehicle registration, or ID).

Children who will be in kindergarten this fall must have turned 5 years old by July 1 of this year. First grade students who have no been in kindergarten should have already turned 6 by July 1, 2018.

On a similar note, orientation for 6th grade students in the DuBois Area School District will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15 and the 5th grade student orientation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 16, both at the DuBois Area Middle School.

You have the option of either attending the 9 a.m. or the 1 p.m. session.

Families will be shown a presentation and given a tour around the building, which will take about 90 minutes.

This orientation is also open for any new student attending the middle school this fall, even if they are older than 5th or 6th grade.
