DuBois, PA – The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life is an event to celebrate survivorship and raise funds for cancer research, education, advocacy and service programs.
Come join the Relay for Life and the fight against cancer in the DuBois City Park on Saturday, July 21 from noon to midnight.
Susan Babik from the American Cancer Society says a lot of work goes on behind the scenes before the Relay even happens… the Relay for Life teams will start planning for next year’s event almost right after this year’s is finished!
The Relay For Life brings together teams from local businesses, schools, churches, and families for camaraderie, food, fun, music, entertainment, a night under the stars – all while team members take turns walking or running on a track.
Relay For Life features a cancer Survivors Victory Lap at 7:30 p.m. and a survivor dinner to celebrate life.
The evening’s moving Luminaria Ceremony at 9 p.m. memorializes those we have lost to cancer and honors those who are fighting or have conquered the disease.
There are themed laps this year, so make sure that you bring a costume, props, or sense of adventure!
