Jefferson County, PA – Parts of Jefferson County will be without electricity for about three hours tonight as part of a planned power outage.
First Energy Corporation scheduled a planned power outage from 7 until 10 p.m. tonight in Brookville Borough, and portions of Rose and Knox Township.
The power is being shut off long enough for crews to install a temporary sub-station so that additional work can be done on the main Brookville sub-station.
About 1,300 customers will be affected. Most of them are in Brookville Borough and parts of Belgiumtown in Rose Township and Knox Township. The area of Allegheny Boulevard near the hospital will not be affected.
If you’re without power tonight and need help or have medical needs, please call Jefferson County Emergency Services at 814-849-1617. If it is an emergency, call 911.
Due to the planned power outage, the regular monthly meeting of the Brookville Area School Board of Directors scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. has been relocated to the High School cafeteria.
