Rayne Township, PA – A woman is dead after a drunk driver crashed into a gas station, sparking a fire yesterday in Indiana County.

Around 1:30 on Thursday afternoon, a car struck Pikel’s Gas Station at the intersection of Route 85 and 119 in Rayne Township.

The car, which had two men inside of it, struck multiple gas pumps before crashing into the building, trapping 52-year-old Melissa Myers of Commodore inside.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two men were taken into custody.

The driver has been identified as 33-year-old James Brown. He is charged with homicide by vehicle with DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, accidents involving death, and several other charges.

His passenger, 32-year-old Michael White, was taken into custody but was later released.
