Harrisburg, PA – The state budget bill was passed by the House Appropriations Committee and is ready for a vote today by the full House of Representatives.
The $32.7 billion spending plan increases growth by 1.7 percent, which is below the current rate of inflation of 2.13 percent. It requires no additional revenues, and it erases a deficit.
Listen as House Majority Leader Rep. Dave Reed gives his thoughts.
The budget is expected to be sent to the governor before June 30, but first it will also have to be passed by the State House and Senate.
