DuBois, PA – After a water line broke in DuBois, many residents and businesses were left without water on Tuesday.

The water line near Division Street broke due to the age of the water system, leaving a 12-inch hole.

Cataldo’s Collison, Way Office Supply, UPS, GKN Sintered Metals, Clearfield Bank and Trust, and the entirety of the Beaver Drive Industrial Park were without water for the majority of yesterday before it was fixed in the afternoon.

This is one of several breaks in the aging water system in DuBois just this year. The most recent break was in May, when one line cracked as crews had just finished working on another section of the pipeline.
