Clarion County, PA – A Corsica man is being charged with a fatal DUI crash that killed a Clarion County woman last year.

28-year-old Wayne Wilson Jr. of Corsica had crashed into a car driven by 44-year-old Kami Dinger of Kryburg on the morning of Oct. 31, 2017.

Wilson had been turning off of Sunny Road in Washington Township, Clarion County, to get onto Route 208.

He says he saw the woman’s headlights but though she was turning, so he pulled out in front of her.

The cars collided, and Dinger was killed. She was pronounced dead at the scene, with the cause listed as blunt force trauma to the neck.

Wilson’s eyes were red, so they took him for a blood draw. He tested positive for controlled substances, including Delta-9 THC and 11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC (which both come from marijuana) and Buprenorphine (an opioid used to treat opioid addiction, commonly sold under the name Subutex).

Police also found a small handbag in his car labeled with the words “dime bags,” a phrase related to the sale of drugs.

Later recreations of the crash showed that Wilson was likely speeding and had slowed down but hadn’t actually stopped at the stop sign right before the crash.

Wilson faces felonies of homicide by vehicle and homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, along with a variety of related misdemeanors.

He remains in the Clarion County Jail on $75,000 bail, awaiting his preliminary hearing on June 19.
