Reynoldsville, PA – Nearly $12,000 was raised for Make-A-Wish recently in Reynoldsville, kicking off the summer and getting a head start on the annual Light Up A Child’s Life campaign in December.
Hundreds of people came to the Rathmel Run Hunting Preserve in Reynoldsville on June 2 for the 9th Annual Olympic Club ATV Ride for a Wish, raising $11,800.
The donation will officially be made at the Light Up A Child’s Life Campaign in December.
All proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish, granting magical wishes for local children with life threatening conditions, helping them forget about their medical issues and just be a kid.
Since the average cost of a wish is $4,400, the $11,800 raised by this event alone was able to provide money for more than 2 and a half wishes for local kids.
Lindsey Herzing, director of our local Make-A-Wish chapter, explains the importance of these fundraising events and donations from caring people throughout the year.
