DuBois, PA – It’s getting even easier to travel from our own local airport. Southern Airways Express, the regional carrier for the DuBois Airport along with Altoona and Johnstown, is teaming up with American Airlines.

Passengers can now book seamless travel from DuBois, Johnstown, and Altoona to any of American’s destinations across the globe. That means a single check in at the local airport for the entire trip and checked luggage that’s delivered all the way to the final destination.

Even better news… For the rest of the 2018 calendar year, Southern Airways Express is covering the cost to check a bag when you book through American Airlines.

Parking is also free at the DuBois Regional Airport. Between saving money on baggage this year and saving money by not driving to another airport and paying for parking, you could pay a lot less than you usually would.

The new agreement could mean more passengers for Southern Airways.

Although customers can still book directly through the DuBois Airport and connect with other larger carriers at the Pittsburgh or Baltimore airports, using American Airlines can allow them to use their credit card just once to book the entire trip and rest easy knowing that they don’t have to do anything with their luggage until they get to their final travel destination.

You can now buy the interlined tickets from the DuBois Airport itself, local travel agents, American Airlines call center, or online at travel websites such as Expedia, Orbitz, or Travelocity. The interlined tickets are not yet available on AA.com or IFlySouthern.com, but you’ll be able to book there later this year.
