Eldred Township, PA – An Armstrong County woman is in jail for attempted homicide after reportedly shooting at a man during a fight early Saturday morning in Jefferson County.

35-year-old Rose Lazaron of Leechburg had been arguing with a 33-year-old Leechburg man at a home along Fisher Road near Sigel.

Around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Lazaron allegedly pointed a gun at the man and fired a round into a nearby wall.

She then reportedly used the pistol to hit the man in his head, shoulder, and arms.

The victim was able to flee the house. He was taken to Penn Highland Brookville, where he was treated for moderate injuries.

Lazaron was taken into custody and charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and discharging a firearm in an occupied structure.

She remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail after failing to post $75,000 bail.

There is no word yet on when her preliminary hearing will be. The investigation is still ongoing.
