Sandy Township, PA – Police had to respond to a variety of incidents in Sandy Township over the past few days, some of which were unusual… including a man getting into a woman’s car to hitchhike to Penfield and a 911 call that ended with underage drinking.

On Sunday, a woman who had been at the Sandy Township Snappy’s told police that an unknown man got into her car and asked her to give him a ride to Penfield in exchange for drugs.

The woman created a scene to get him out of her vehicle. She says that, when he finally left, he took a 12-pack of beer that she had on the front seat and started walking in the direction of Penfield. Police were unable to find him.

A 50-year-old Treasure Lake man called 911 to report that several vehicles were pulled into his driveway, and he warned police that he was about to confront the drivers.

When officers arrived, they found out that the homeowner’s 19-year-old stepson had friends over.

Among them was a 14-year-old girl who had been drinking, along with other young girls who had already left. Officers handled the situation without incident.
