Sandy Township, PA – A Pittsburgh woman had to be lifeflighted after a crash on Interstate 80 in Sandy Township.

64-year-old Nancy Frankel-Zacchero drifted off of the highway around mile marker 97 on I-80 East around 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Everyone in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.

The passengers, 28-year-old Rachel Zacchero of Pittsburgh and a 3-year-old girl, were both uninjured.

Frankel-Zacchero was first taken to Penn Highlands DuBois but had to later be flown to Alleghany General Hospital.

Police determined she was at fault, and the woman was cited for not driving on roadways laned for traffic.
