Pennsylvania – Shopping for a new car can be overwhelming. Between the hundreds of makes and models to choose from and changes in technology, you might be surprised if you don’t do your research first.

Brian Moody, the executive editor for autotrader.com, has some tips. Click below to listen.

A little research and preparation beforehand can make the whole process easier.

Moody suggests:

Know which cars you’re interested in before you go to the car lot

Consider bringing anything you’d usually carry in your car with you – car seats, sports equipment, or even pets – to put into the vehicle while you take a test drive

Know your lifestyle and what vehicle fits the way you live

If you’re trading in an older car, be prepared that newer models have much more technology inside
