Reynoldsville, PA – A local couple are facing DUI, public drunkenness, and child endangerment charges after an argument in Reynoldsville.

It started around 10 p.m. Wednesday night when police spotted an unnamed 28-year-old woman who was walking along Route 322 west of Reynoldsville, trying to flag down passing motorists for help with a ride. Police say she was clearly under the influence of alcohol.

At the same time, an unnamed 44-year-old man was driving around the same area looking for the woman, while also under the influence of alcohol.

The couple’s young daughter was asleep in the backseat of the vehicle.

Police took the driver to Penn Highlands DuBois for a blood draw, and they interviewed the woman who had been walking along the highway.

Jefferson County CYS has been notified of the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing, but the couple likely will face charges of DUI, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and endangering the welfare of children.
