DuBois, PA – A DuBois business recently donated thousands of dollars to help local cancer patients.
Johnson Motors in DuBois has long been a supporter of the Bob Perks Fund, which provides financial assistance to local cancer patients who are struggling to pay for their basic expenses.
Over the past two years, Johnson Motors has donated nearly $20,000 to pay the rent, heat and utility bills of community members who are battling cancer. Just yesterday, they donated another $13,000 to the project.
Here’s Bob Johnson, president of Johnson Subaru in DuBois.
The money comes from those who purchase vehicles from Johnson Motors during the holidays. Subaru donates $250 for each vehicle sold, and Johnson Motors gives an extra $50.
Thanks to the help of many businesses and individuals donating throughout the years, the Bob Perks Fund has distributed more than 1.7 million dollars since 2006 to local people who are struggling with cancer.
