Burnside Township, PA – A prescribed burn got out of control yesterday afternoon in Clearfield County.

The PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources was planning on burning about 160 to 170 acres of brush to prevent larger fires from happening later in the summer.

However, the wind made the fire bigger than what wildlife officials had planned.

No one was injured.

Fire departments from both Clearfield and Centre Counties were called out yesterday to bring the fire back under control.
