DuBois, PA – Fire crews will start spraying down the streets and sidewalks throughout Downtown DuBois, starting around 8 tonight.

Usually it’s done immediately before the annual spring clean-up, but it had to be postponed last Friday due to inclement weather.

Road salt and dirt tends to accumulate on the roads and sidewalks over the winter.

Hosing it off will give Downtown DuBois a fresh new look for the spring.

It depends on how many firefighters volunteer for the annual project, but it usually takes about three to four hours to reach all of the streets.

If you can avoid parking on the streets, please do so.

Crews will also set up roadblocks as they make their way through the city, so be aware that you might have to take a slight detour tonight if you’re travelling through Downtown DuBois.
